Demolition Underway at The Residences at 1428 Brickell

The Residences at 1428 Brickell

The sounds of demolition have started reverberating down Brickell Avenue as developer Ytech clears the site for their ambitious 71-story luxury condominium tower, The Residences at 1428 Brickell. Crews began tearing down the existing office building on January 11th, initiating the multi-year process of constructing one of Miami’s tallest residential buildings.

Replacing the former structure will be condo units priced from $2 million up to a $60 million penthouse with stunning bay and city views, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, private elevators, and luxury amenities. Spearheading the project is local real estate firm Ytech, who told media they intend to deliver “meaningful innovation never before seen in Miami."

In order to construct the gleaming 861-foot tower, recent filings with the Federal Aviation Administration detail plans for not one, but two exceptionally tall on-site construction cranes reaching 1,001 feet high. If approved, they would remain in place for approximately 19 months during the building process.

With demolition well underway, the timeline has The Residences at 1428 Brickell slated for completion in 2027. The striking addition to Brickell's famous skyline has already garnered attention from wealthy buyers, with presales now offered and 70% of units reportedly selling within the first month.

As the rubble falls on the former office building, we will continue providing updates on The Residences at 1428 Brickell as it climbs towards a place among Miami's architectural giants.
